At the heart of Portals stands Amanita muscaria, the red-capped gatekeeper between worlds. Long revered as a bridge to altered realms, her spirit flows like a drifting dream by been subtle, luminous, and transformative. The white-spotted cap becomes a living symbol of awakening, a threshold through which consciousness expands and reconfigures, framed by clouds and the gentle glow of moonlight.
Lightning arcs across the composition, echoing the storm-god Thor and the electricity that courses through the body under Amanita’s influence. Those who commune with her often experience surges of energy, zaps that travel through the arms, spine, and limbs, like living lightning coursing through the nervous system. These currents mirror the mushroom’s essence of a force that both grounds and electrifies, linking body to sky.
Within each bolt are inscribed the three compounds of her alchemy: muscimol, muscarine, and muscazone. They are the neurochemical triad that opens inner portals and transforms perception.
